The Look: It's DeLovely

To get you in the mood... here's Ella Fitzgerald singing It's DeLovely.

Enjoying the last few hours of a nice winter day (more like Spring) before the wintry storm blows in tomorrow.  It was definitely a DeLovely Day.

Ladies, be sure that you have at least one accordion pleated skirt in your closet.  It is a simply piece that can we worn in any season.  This is a cream skirt from American Apparel... my closet favorite from Spring to Winter.  Adding to that, leopard print heels and anything kitty heals.  Yes, there are days when I just don't feel like lugging them 6 inch pumps.  Today, was one of them.  Again, it's DeLovely.

By the way... if you ever are in need for cool jewelry and pearls, hit T.J. Maxx or Marshalls.  They have a great selection and really nice prices.

Today's Look:

The Look: Mod Hair, Bobbed Hair

Spring is in the air! Time for a new hair do.

Have you noticed that this season there seems to be lots of bangs going around?  I mean, it's probably is some kind of hair trend but the fashion shows this spring were full of models with cool bobs and bangs.  Since I am growing out my short do after FIVE YEARS  adding bangs is a nice little touch.

To not look so geeky, my stylist (Robert Sean Miller of 77 Salon) gave me a rounded bob.  Now, my short do was very asymmetrical so one side is shorter than the other.  When Robert cut it, he had to work around that but also not cut too much off since my goal is to grow out by hair.  You'd think the asymmetry would come out looking funny with the bob but it actually worked out
really well in the end!

The result? 2012 Mod Bob... L.O.V.E. my new do!
