Their life is like a love story, Christo + Jeanne Claude.  She didn't like him at first, was mean to him but intrigued by him.  He was a poor Bulgarian painter living in Paris, speaking little French.  To get by, Christo would make his living as a portraiture.

They met at the age of 23 when Christo was commissioned to create a portrait of Jeanne Claude's mother.  Jeanne Claude was a headstrong and outspoken whose father was an influential general.  Claude became infatuated with Jeanne Claude's liveliness and how she loved to laugh.  Their first date, he bought tickets to an avant-garde theatre playing Ionesco.  During the show, she laughed so hard and loud that the actors stopped playing their parts and started laughing with her.  And that became the starting point for the rest of their lives.  Working together, side-by-side in New York on Christo's massive scale once in a life time masterpieces.

Jeanne Claude's unfortunate passing came in 2009.  Before the the final decision of their long time project called "Over the River."  It is one of their most ambitious plan to cover about 6 miles of the Arkansas River in Colorado.  After they wrapped Paris' Pont-Neuf in 1985 and was fascinated by the illuminating fabric over the Seine, the two began to conceive an idea to cover a river.  It has been a long battle to get an approval from the Bureau of Land Management and the project so far has cost the artist $8 million in just preparation.  This month, the Record Decision of the project will be issued.

A wonderful concept! Vintage dresses in a vintage bus.

This fun and quirky dress shop is owed by the ever so charming Portlander: Erin Sutherland.  Her official title: Conductress.

This wonderful vintage double-decker bus is filled with awesome vintage ladies dresses, hats, shoes, accessories, and more.  Guys, don't worry there are plenty of finds for you too.  Erin has an amazing collection of vintage Pendleton wears from blazers, jackets, to retro flannels.  Forget going to stores to find ones that are new but made to look vintage.  Get the real thing here.

Here are some of the cool finds I purchased today:

Found a really cool Pendleton red blazer with really cute buttons.  Needs some slight alterations though so will be taking them to the ladies of DZ Alterations.

The dress is super retro.  Like it is from the 60's.  The silky texture, low back and bow clasp are just amazing.  It is a dress you would see on Mad Men on AMC.  The small set back is a little circle stain.  But not to worry! This dress is about to be updated.  The length will become over the knee (instead of below the knee as it is currently).  It will be so chic!

The last item is the red leather pouch.  This sort of pouch is becoming quite popular, especially this season.  Something like this is being sold at American Apparel for $50... I got this for $8.  A Deal? Yes.

"Singing in the rain" post of the 7's denim was inspired after I saw this post on Denimology.com back in January.  I love bell bottoms but was never able to locate the ones that are not too 70's.

This pair is perfectly colored.  Well cut and is updated with today's style and flare.  You can dress it up like Kourtney Kardashian or casual cool like Jessica Alba above.

TIP: Get one size smaller than what you normally wear.  There is some stretch.  Also, if you are short, a good alteration is in order.
