Intimately held at the Bowery Hotel, Banana Republic's ready-to-wear collection for this FW2011 has all the touches we've seen from the likes of Celine and even Gucci. 

Texture was a big theme in its collection.  To help its spectators to see it more in 3D vs. 2D, the seating was up close and almost personal.  

Other trends it captured were the paper thin cotton turtlenecks that are worn under tunic blouses.  The classic plaid and herringbone patters pressed into charcoal shades.  Their winter white brocade pencil skirt is paired with a heritage sweater.

As for the male, the double breasted suit jackets and leather pea coat completes and polishes the outfit.  I told you the DB is back! If you haven't done it already, see my previous post: The Return of the DB Jacket.

Loving these looks by Zara.  The white double breasted jacket and green skinny trousers are very cool.  Definitely something I would wear.

I love the Helloyesterday and how she put together rock and roll outfit.  Adding the suspenders to the simple cuffed trousers can transform something "safe" into a bold piece of pants.  Love it!

Kate Middleton may be trotting down the aisle in about two weeks but you won't see her in one of these.  Spring is starting out strong with wedding whites but why settle for the typical? If you're looking for something a little new (and a bit edgy) than the traditional whites, check out some of the new silouhettes above. 

Keeping up with the theme of this season, wedding gowns are no different than the RTWs of Spring.  It is keeping within the theme of re-shaping classic shapes to a re-constrcuted dress fit for 2011.

Alexander McQueen's gown is simply gorgeous, over-the-top as in the tradition of being a McQueen but the shapes is still fitting for any modern day princess.

Versace body-con is absolutely stunning.  Modern and sexy, with cut-outs in all the right places. 

My favorite? Mugler.  This is something I would definitely wear to my own, simple wedding.  The dress has great lines and the right touch of edginess... bold shoulders and short hemline.  Did anyone notice the shoes? Mmm Hmm.
